Summer 2026 Co-Op

For my Co-Op rotation this Summer, I was hired by Michael Coppage from Chateau Coppage to work along side him at Talbert House, leading Therapeutic Art Engagement groups with clients going through substance abuse rehabilitation and mental health crises. Additionally, I worked on my own personal art projects to showcase at an end of semester art show with artists from all over Cincinnati!

"Peace by Piece"

"Peace by Piece" is a theraputic art activity created by Michael Coppage. As a co-op student, I would trace out an image projected onto paper, split it up with a grid, and then cut out each individual square. The client's would then each be given one square to paint, following the reference image thumbnail. At the end, the picture would be put back together to form a whole image again! Below are some examples of finished products, after gluing and touch ups!

These paintings were then framed and hung on the walls around the Talbert House building for clients and employees to see!

"Imperfect Victim"

For my independent project this Summer, I decided to focus on a medium I don't get to utilize as much during the school year. I used clay, papier mache, acrylic paint, and wooden rods to create this version of my original character. I wanted to explore some intense and negative feelings, while also showing that "OCs" can be more than what some professional artists may assume at first glance.
